Privacy Policy
Protecting your privacy is important to Tee-On. We hope the following policy will help you understand how Tee-On collects, uses, and safeguards the personal information you provide on our web site.
Information Collection
You can browse anonymously on several of Tee-On’s pages without registering for our services. Like many other commercial web sites, the Tee-On web site may use a standard technology called a “cookie” to collect information about how you use the site.
In some of our customer e-mail communication, we use a device called a “click-through URL.” When you click on one of these URLs, you pass through our system before arriving at the web site that is your true destination. We do not share this data with anyone.
If you register with Tee-On, for example, we collect your name, contact number and extension e-mail address, and a password. This information is used to create a personal ID, called “Tee-On Username.” This ID gives you easy and immediate access to Tee-On services. Here’s how it works: you fill out your Tee-On Registration with the required information. Once you enter your information and have completed your registration by clicking the REGISTER button, you will receive immediate confirmation as well as an e-mail confirmation with your username and password, along with some general information on how to use the site.
Information Use, Disclosure and Access
Unless you notify us otherwise, Tee-On considers the provision of your email as consent to send you updates on the latest Tee-On products and promotions. We do not share your personal information with other companies, except the golf courses at which you play and if required by law. Tee-On understands and respects the privacy needs of all its subscribers. At the same time, we have a responsibility to assist the participating courses that pay for the operation of the Tee-On network. To meet the needs of both related parties, we have created the following policies:
- Tee-On shall not share information with any group or person outside the Tee-On network of participating golf courses.
- Participating courses shall have access to information about the golfers who book tee times at their courses. Golf courses have always requested names and phone numbers when golfers call for bookings – they need this information to hold bookings and to contact golfers in the event of tee-time changes or cancellations. Without data from golfers, courses do not feel secure in the validity of their bookings.
- Participating courses may contact golfers via e-mail to inform them of specials, club events, and so on. Courses agree to keep this information confidential and not share it with any third parties. Courses can only contact golfers that have actually booked a tee time and/or played at their course. If a golfer requests that his/her name be removed from the e-mail list, courses shall respect and act upon this request.
- Tee-On will e-mail its subscribers to inform them of new participating courses, as well as its new services and offerings. Such mailings shall not exceed one per month. Subscribers may unsubscribe at anytime from these emails.
You can contact us at anytime to access and or update your information.
Data Security
Tee-On is fully committed to data security. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information you provide to us online. However, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us. In this regard, we urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data while you are on the Internet. At a minimum, we encourage you to change your passwords often, using a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure that you are using a secure browser as you “surf” the Internet.
If a question arises regarding access to your information or there is a complaint or concern about the manner in which Tee-On collects, uses, retains or discloses your information, please contact us at info@tee-on.com.
